J. Andrew Kuypers

Dr J. Andrew Kuypers helps organisations strengthen the human capabilities that matter when judgment, trust, and communication are under pressure. Through more than 25 years of teaching, consulting, coaching, and speaking, he helps professionals communicate clearly, think critically, and preserve human judgment and creativity as AI changes the workplace. His work combines research-based communication expertise with practical approaches audiences can apply to presentations, decisions, leadership, and other high-stakes professional situations.

Through J. Andrew Communication, Dr Kuypers works with organisations and professionals on human-centred AI communication, public speaking and presentation skills, performance-anxiety management, credibility, and creativity and critical thinking in the AI age. His experience includes Tuck Business School, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the State Legislative Leaders Foundation, UBS Timber Investors, and legal and law-enforcement professionals. His approach emphasises practical improvement in judgment, clarity, confidence, credibility, and communication.

Dr Kuypers is a full Professor of Communication at Virginia Tech and previously served as Director of Speech and Distinguished Senior Lecturer at Dartmouth College. He is the author or editor of 17 books and has published extensively on communication, rhetoric, media framing, and public discourse. His academic work and international presentations, including a keynote at the Media in America, America in Media conference in Poland, complement more than two decades of applied work with professional audiences.

Dr Kuypers’ current programmes include "Keep the Thinking Human: Better Judgment and Communication with AI", "Clear, Confident Communication for High-Stakes Work", and "Human Creativity in the Age of AI: The Four Human Levers That Win the AI Age".
